Physiotherapy

Restoring Movement and Releasing Pain

Understanding Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and it works on the science of movement. Our approach to treatment, health and wellbeing is personalised and built around the “whole of the person”.  It involves the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of injuries, diseases, physical defects and general dis-ease in the body using physical techniques that help reestablish and maintain comfortable pain-free movement. You can benefit from physiotherapy at any age and stage in your life. In the case of permanent injury – our treatments can provide relief and lessen the dysfunction of the condition. Established techniques used during treatment may include joint mobilisation, massage, exercise, strapping and electrotherapy techniques among many others. These methods are used in preference to drugs, medications and surgery.

The goal of our physiotherapy treatment is to help you facilitate your own healing and to reduce your pain. We will work with you to resolve your illness, injury or symptom, restore mobility, increase range of motion, strengthen muscles and correct your posture, so that you can return to your normal daily activity – pain free and living your best life.

What To Expect

Our role is to help your body unlock its own innate ability to heal itself; we are the facilitators in your wellness process. Our physiotherapy aims to find the cause of your injury and bring about balance and harmony so your body can heal itself. We believe in curing the cause and not the complaint, so as with physiotherapy and all the other modalities, it’s important to combine them to get the best result. Your first appointment is an hour and follow ups are 30mins. You will not be required to undress for the treatment.
